Just want to know from the specialist here what everyone feeds their Kribs? I've heard just live food(can't seem to find any here), earth worms, pellets. How about you?
Live food is great for conditioning kribs for spawning, but they should not be the bulk of a krib diet. In nature they are primarily plant detritus eaters, and I have found that vegatable-based flake foods are perfect for them. A smaller portion of their diet in nature are small invertebrates and invertebrate eggs, which they get while grazing on the decaying plants and algae mulm or aufwuchs (sp?). Baby brine is an excellent supplement. I also use ground and hydrated freeze-dried krill. I will feed white or grindal worms once or twice a week to females that are developing eggs.
