Egg Eaters?

Just curious if you all would include Pepper corys and Bristlenose plecos among those who eat eggs. The corys are being evicted from my tank but I'm wondering if the bristlenose plecos are also known for munching on eggs.

Actually ALL plecos would love a meal of apisto eggs. They are far more active at nite than apistos and there really isn't anything that the parent apistos can do to stop them. General rule is, Plecos and corys are a no no in any of my apisto tank. I made a real big mistake by adding a troop of green corys to my cacatuoides community and that was that with all production of fry/eggs and the rest. hope this helps

imo armoured catfish are not good additions to a tank where you want to breed apistos. (cory's, pleco's) you may only get one spawn from your new pair, best to set things up without egg or fry predators, but a tetra or 2 can serve to calm the pair and to help get them into the guarding mood. even a single oto can be good for this, any dwarf cichlid can guard from an oto. i have had fish that would kill each other without another species to 'protect' their nest and spawn from.
