Crenicichla compressiceps: It is a species that i have been searching for a long time!! i finally found this fish in the local market yesterday and acquired a few home... does anybody know the tricks on how to differentiate the male and the female? According to Romer's Cichlid Atlas I, sexing this species is quite difficult and the best method is to observe their behaviour (which is quite impossible as they were kept in a tank with such a high density that no fish would behave normally!!)... So, i bought 4, two small and two big, and hope that i would have at least a pair... they look very interesting to me
