Co2 Question

I just purchased an agassizi and Im really excited. I've always loved apistos but haven't been able to find any i can purchase. I do have a heavily planted and and running an amateur Co2 system with a 2 liter bottle with yeast and suger. I've successfully kept several species including Bolivian Rams. But, I've read that apistos need a good amount of oxygen. I'm running a fluval cannister filter so there isn't and surface turbulance that is replenishing O2 levels. I was just curious if this is bad, and if I should either stop running the Co2 or if I should somehow start putting O2 in the tank.

Hi all,
The tank is planted, so that takes care of the hours whilst the plants are photosynthesising. Assuming it is not a very deep tank and has some surface flow the O2 levels will be being replenished at the waters surface. Your only real problem is that the CO2 will be on at night, but you can run an air stone (on a time switch) if you think there will be a problem.

If you want to grow plants with a high light, high CO2 requirement (like Hemianthus "Cuba") you need the CO2, if you just want planted you can turn the CO2 off and reduce the nutrient input.
