chamelionic nannacara?

We have had 3 smallish (wild caught*) A.macmasteri for a few weeks, and last night added some small nannacara anomala to the tank. Anyways just noticed one of them has made its normal patterning into the broken lines of a macmasteri and trying to swim with them. Just new behaviour for me and thought I'd mention it

edit in-forgot to mention, while I purchased these A. macmasteri as wild's, I have absoluly no experience or benchmarks to go on here, just what they were sold as.

One of the old common names for Nannacara anomala was "the Chameleon Dwarf Cichlid". Now you know why.

The markings are not as distinct today, but here's some shots. You can still see the dotted line as oppossed to the normal nannacara anomala markings.

and heres one of the macmasteri's its been trying to 'copy'. Its stopped now probably because it got chased off whenever it came to close to one of the apisto's
