These guys came in mixed with pertensis/cf. pertensis and mendezi. The larger male is a little short of 2" and the smaller male is about 1 3/4"

Any ID help in narrowing the fish down would be helpful. I still struggle with trying to separate the fish in the agassizii complex!

The strength and continuousness (is that a word?) of the lateral band, the strong red margin on the dorsal even in a young male, and the lace-like pattern in the upper caudal all suggest A. gephyra to me. Companion species seem right, too.

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
