I"m looking to get some Borelli for a 50g tank. What's the appropriate ratio of M:F. I'm looking to get 6 and was thinking of 2M:4F but they are all sold 1M:1F. Is 3M:3F good ratio?

Thanks!

How many fish you can keep is equally dependent on structure as it is tank size. So if the tank is really open, you may not have room for three males. The trick to keeping multiple fish in one tank successfully is making "pockets" in the cover about 8-12" square. Each pocket will be a territory.

For example, I had a 125g with 3 males and 10 females A. cacatuoides, but the tank was so packed with driftwood I could only see a few females at a time. I redid the tank and made it more open, but I ended up with something like 1 male and 6 females.
