Baenschi strong m:f bonding ?

There is a post by Mike that states Baenschi are m:f bonding; but other folks (different forums) are claiming they are harem breeders (or specifically the fish they have are harem breeders). Also do they help with raising the fry or at least does the female get along with the male while breeding ? Also seriouslyfish article indicates they are normally polygamous but on occasion will form tight m:f bond which is a bit confusing:

Being a nijsseni-group species, A. baenschi tends to form breeding - never bonded - pairs. If a pair is successful the the pair will continue breeding together. If unsuccessful the pair often separate and look for a more suitable partner. Some nijsseni-group species, like A. nijsseni and A. wolli tend to be more choosy about who they accept as breeding partners. A. baenschi is one of the less choosy species. None of the nijsseni-group species are typically harem breeders, where males stake out a larger territory that encompasses territories of several females and then breeds with each. But who knows what a fish that does not need to defend a territory will do if it is bored. The aquarium is not the same as a natural environment.
