Apistogrammas with Neolamprologus caudopunctatus?

Ive actually had these guys together for a few months in my 80 gallon. I have 6 of the Neolamprologus caudopunctatus and about 10 apistogrammas. The Neolamprologus caudopunctatus don't seem aggressive at all towards any of the fish. I mean they do there chasing sometimes but no tail nipping. I am wondering if anyone has experience with these guys. My main focus is apistos so if I need to relocated these guys I will. They are very cute. They are not full grown yet, there all about a inch so I don't know if that's why there not aggressive. I have read that they get along with other cave dwellers and a apisto being a cave dweller maybe these are a good choice for tank mates? Or maybe I shouldn't press my luck,

Anyways I would love everyones opinions. Im going to a auction this weekend and I will bring them if I need to re home them. Thanks all

The N.caudopunctatus require veeeery different water parameters compared to apistos (very hard alkaline water). if you google name of the fish you will come across some profiles with water values, care etc. Keeping them together will very likely lead to health problems down the track, regardless of whether they get along aggression-wise or not.

My apistos live fine in the hard water. My water is pretty hard at my house.. about 400-500 ppm. Usually any fish will adapt to changes in hard water. Its just when the apistos spawn they need soft water. Never the less me and my hubby have decided just to take them to the auction with us this weekend. Just to be safe and for my apistogrammas to be happy

Soft water is also needed to keep Apistogrammas healthy, not just to breed them.
Keeping them on the same water as the Neolamprologus require will definitely result in sick, or even death fish.

Not only wildcaught fish require soft water, also bred fish require the right water.

Also... Keep in mind that cichlids from Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika can be very agressive and territorial. Most Apistogrammas won't be able to handle that much agression in my experience.
Maybe your's don't show any agression right now, but that behaviour can all of a sudden make a switch. I've kept Tanganyika cichlids myself, and they can become extremely territorial when they have fry. In my case, all the other fish (Synodontis petricola and Lamprologus ocellatus) were forced to live in the farthest corner of the tank. And those weren't even known to be that agressive.

Leave the Apistos at home & go to the auction ... buy a used tank! |;>)
Nobody should be without Apistos.

Oh I would never leave my apistos lol. Were bringing the Africans to the auction. I already have 5 tanks running in my small 2 bedroom bungalow so.. kinda running out of space lol. So sorry Africans but time to move on to better and bigger places lol..
