Would it taste good?
I wouldn't know since I've never tasted one. I guess like all catfish it depends on what it has eaten. I never cared for the taste of catfish that I caught (kind of a muddy taste), but pond-raised channel cat isn't bad. Probably the best tasting fish for me that I've ever eaten was a wild-caught pacu baked in banana leaves. It rivaled the best walleye, which I love. Paiche (Arapaima sp.) is good, too - if it's fresh and not salted.

Wels catfish is absolutely disgusting. Pangasius (Mekong Giant Catfish aka iridescent shark) is quite tasty but also very fatty.

I prefer fresh (as in caught that day) halibut myself but haven't had any in years.

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
