Here is a video of some A. trifasciata that I have recently set up to spawn. When I start groups with young fish I like to put multiple males and females in the tank, and then let them work out who will be the dominant fish. This video was shot just after that dynamic was reached, and I removed the extra male that is in the tank. Now it is the dominant male and the two females you will see in the video.

These fish were imported from Czech Republic as 'Macilliensis', but I consider them a tank strain trifasciata... it is not erythrura

The male is currently about 1.25 inches long. Still small. The tank is a 10-gallon end out, with piles of stuff (yarn mop, wood, filter, leaves, spawning cave where I can see it) in the back 2/3. I use the floating mop as a place of refuge for target fish and as a source of infusoria for fry. A ripe mop is full of stuff!

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
