apistogramma cacatuoides without colour

Hi all,

I'm new to the apistos world, and started about 6 months ago with a pair of a. cacatuoides triple red. They have breed, but the brood dont have any red on the fins, they all just got some dimmed/almost none orange. The brood is already with 5 months and i think that they already should be showing some colour (maybe i´m mistaken, as i said i new to apistos).
Can anyone please give some tips of how i can improve the colour of future broods?

Yes, if your cacatuoides were a good strain of triple reds, they should show some red in at least the dorsal and caudal fins by now. Poor strains often produce mostly double reds or ? It is also important to feed foods rich in color enhancers like baby brine shrimp, cyclops, and commercial color foods.
