I have owned this pair of A.Barlowi for around 8 months now, i have been lucky to have had three spawnings but never raised any fry. The first spawning consisted of only three fry and they did not last the week in the spawning tank with parents..The second was slightly better with six fry, these did ok for three weeks but unfortunatly i had to move the tank due to fishroom improvements and two days later there were no fry...
Luckily they spawned again and the female looked as though she was holding more larvae than last time so i crossed my fingers and hoped for the best, she spat the fry five days ago and i was made up to count 23 fry..At last im in double figures, they are feeding well and i am determined to raise these fish and try to keep them available in the UK..
