Hello. I have a pair of apistogramma, but I don´t know what is this. I recieved under Apistogramma sp. papagallo name´s, but I believe that name is not correct. Somebody can help me to identify them?

Apistogramma!

Hello Tejure,

This is a male of the Apistogramma eunotus. It is an easy fish to keep and breed so good luck with them.

Best,
Mark

Mark is correct. This is the 'A. eunotus' presently found in the hobby. It does not exactly match the type specimens of A. eunotus, however. It is more properly called A. cf. eunotus Orange-tail/Orangeschwanz, also called A. cf. eunotus Santa Ana & A. sp. Willy.

Ok, thanks. These specimens are from Czech Republic, and they put the name to them that they want
I recieved another specimens with sp. names, for example:
-Apistogramma sp. papa
-Apistogrmama sp.

The top fish is a form of A. sp. Nanay (sensu Melgar, not Römer) that has come in as A. sp. Bleeding or Bleeding Heart. The bottom fish shows no dark markings. It is difficult to say what it is based on the available picture.

The 1st of the 4 photos sent is a regani-complex species, possibly A. sp. Rotpore/Red-pores, but I would need more photos to be absolutely sure.

Photo 2 shows no diagnostic dark markings, so it is difficult to identify, but probably a resticulosa-complex species.

Photo 3 appears to be A. sp. Parati, also called A. sp. Peje.

Photo 4 appears to be A. caetei or something closely related to it.
