Hello all,
I'm new to the apisto world, and bought my first pair of super-reds today. Upon returning home, I found that the male had an eye injury (see attachment). It looks a bit swollen, and intensely cloudy. He's quite young, maybe 1 inch. Is there a proper course of action to rectifying this? Luckily, I brought him back to a tank without any other tankmates (for now), so it's just him and the female.
I read that there isn't much that can be done, except for possibly adding aquarium salt and melafix. Maybe I should return him to the store?
Please let me know what you all think I should do, based on the severity of the injury.
