Apisto Caca and Agassizii

New to the forum and I had a question about mixing apisto species in one tank. I currently have:

20 Green neon tetras
7 Glo light tetras
1 pair of GBR's
3 otos
3 cory habrosus, soon to be 6
1 common pleco
10 Amano shrimp
2 Dwarf Neon rainbows
and
a trio of Apisto cacatuoides Triple Red

I wanted to know if it would be OK to add a trio of agassizii?

My tank is 55g heavily planted with a few caves and driftwood. I will be adding more caves on the right side and a coconut half on the left. Would it work or would there be any complications as far interbreeding or aggression?

First, welcome to the forum. That's a nice looking tank. You have 5 cichlids in your 55 already. I think that adding more will not be a good idea. If this was a 75 gallon tank, I think it would be OK, but not a 55. There just isn't enough bottom surface area to house 5 cichlids without some stress to the fish.

I agree with Mike Wise. A 55g is a little small for housing 5 cichlids on top of your other fish. By the way awesome looking tank.
