    camallanus worms

finally!!! The worms are dead!!!!!! After ridiculous struggles with these nematodes, and trying just about everything, it was fluke tabs that did the trick. I experienced no stress on plants (that I could see) like many were suggesting. Everyone is happy again back in the main tank...

I actually have the fish out and in a quarantine tank where I am trying to coax them to eat some pellets that have absorbed garlic elixer and pipzine... no luck though. My fish will not eat anything that is not their normal food. Hopefully they will get too hungry to resist soon Steve

    spade-headed worms

    camallanus worms

Also, is beef heart something that I can pick up at a grocery store? I don't believe that the stores around here carry it. I was mixing 1 capsule of pipzine per 1.5 oz of frozen brine... mix it in, then freeze it again and use it as necessary. Steve

    leaf litter

I have never used leaf litter in a tank before, but it is something that I am curious about. What sorts of leaves are typically used, and are there leaves which should be avoided for any reason? Do some apistos respond to leafy hiding places better than others? -Steve
