Bag stated “Viejita” but I am very aware they are almost always Macmasteri. Posted this to Reddit and someone told me I should come here for “Hattich” and/or “Wise” to weigh in.

All photos are of the same fish. I read the tail spot, color of the first few dorsal rays and color across the dorsal top were important so I tried to attach photos that had the best representation as of now.

Something related to A. macmasteri. Not A. macmasteri proper, but somthing from that species cluster.

But in this case it looks like a true A. viejita in which the red seam at the upper edge of the dorsal fin has faded.

I’m going to watch him/her for a few more months. In person I do visualize a faint red seam but this fish is also just starting to color up for me. I’ll update once mature! Thank you everyone! Maybe I did hit the jackpot

Trust Frank, I agree with him. The fish is also pretty much fully grown, if you look at the fins.
