Good evening all.

A few weeks back, I spent a week collecting fish on the Maranon, Ucayali, and the Amazon river in Peru. Time spent collecting was wonderful, though challenging at times, but something I am glad I was able to do.

Days were usually 3 collecting spots, then usually night collecting from the skiff. After a collection spot, fish were ID'ed, but on occasion, I missed part of that process, and I am unable to identify more than a few Apistogramma Sp. That made it home. The Packing list that accompanied my shipment lists A. Agassizi as the only Apistos in my shipment. That is not the case.

I have two images right now that I would like some help identifying. Unfortunately, I believe I have lost all the Agassizi that came home (there maybe a few juveniles hiding, but unsure), though I do have several specimens that are healthy and doing well.

Attached are the images. ID help will be greatly appreciated.

The first photo shows some form of A (cf./sp. aff.) agassizii and the second an A. cf. eunotus, possibly the "Schwanzstreifen/Tail-stripes" form.

Extremely nice looking wild fishes.
Thank you. My apologies for the delayed reply. After roughly 3 weeks of settling in, I now have a very lively and colorful array of Apistos. Several are still small, less than 2cm, a couple that I would consider young adults (if there is such a thing).

I have a few others that I believe I have identified, but just to follow up and confirm, they are listed below. The first image I believe to be Caucatoides, and the other I believe to be the female counterpart to the Eunotus, as shown above.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
