Hello all, I picked this pair up at a auction as wild caught. I am having trouble determining if they were labeled correctly. What do you think? Thanks for your help.

Not the best photos, but photo 3 seems to be of a male A. cf. agassizii (Netz/Net). I really can't say if they are the population from Alenquer or not, but have no reason to doubt the claim.

Hi all,
I can't help with the fish, although they are definitely A. agassizii and look nice fish. Your plants interest me, is the main plant a Najas sp? I don't recognise it.

Darrel,
I would love to tell yes but I can not guarantee that. There was no identification on the bag when I purchased it. I bought it for the sole purpose of making it difficult for my Teleogramma Brichardi to get at one another and give the apisto female something to work with as well. I do believe that it is Najas but I can not go further than that. Here a couple of close ups if it helps you. Apologies on my part:)

Please excuse the cherry barb in the back. They were the only dither fish I could come up with at the time for the Teleogramma tank.

Hi all,
Thanks Ted, looks like it is much more commonly grown Stateside. I'll see if I can track some down in the UK.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
