What size hole?

I was rummaging through my tool box and came across a 5/8 masonary bit which got me thinking maybe I could use it to bore a hole in a flower pot that an apistogramma may use as a cave to spawn in?.....how large a hole does she need to get through and do her business?

That should do, it doesn't need to be a very big hole.

Also soak the pots in water overnight to make the clay less brittle and less prone to breakage.

Yes, I have some pieces of flower pot from an attempt a few weeks back so I will practice a couple times first lol

Soaking a clay pot first will make it less brittle and easier to drill without cracking.
