Wanting to breed.

I have a new ~44 gallon planted tank setup that I am interested in breeding A. Cacatuoides in. I was thinking of tankmates being ottos and maybe pygmy cory cats. I would really like to have say 2 males with multiple females jsut so the tank has activety to it and I wouldn't have to add anything active like tetras or the such. Any pointers and where could I get some nice ones of triple reds or such, I'm in SoCal and the LFS's want about 40 bucks a pop! Thanks.

That is expensive! Try a local fish club, many have auctions where you can pick up fish at good prices.

As for the tank mates....not sure any of them would work as they are all on the ground. The corries may try to steal wigglers. I don't know much about Otto Cats, but see what others say.

Do a google search for (your city name) Aquarium club and it may pop up. If not try a close city that you would be willing to travel to.

David a good guy he's where I got my Gold cockato's from and he even sent some 3/4 females Gold to breed the Gold male to. It's the one I use as my aviater pic. You could even give Apistodave a try on aquabid.
