A recent discussion on this forum about finding info on known apisto species has stimulated me to create a list (based on Catalog of Fishes - considered the most reliable source among some professional marine ichthyologists I've worked with). Currently it only contains scientifically described 'valid' species, there are 94, and it includes information on original species description publication, catch location of the holotype, and general distribution if given. It also lists scientific names that are considered synonyms or incorrectly used names for non-apistogramma species. The list is on my google cloud server at:

There are similar lists and I really like the one on apisto.sites.no which includes a lot of original observations by the authors. My goal is to add personal observations and pictures for the species I've kept. Too many sites regurgitate what others have said so I will probably just include links to other primary information sources.
When I complete web pages on individual apisto species I'll link them into the list and post it on this thread. If there are errors or omissions for VALID species please reply on this thread. No need to comment about undescribed species, there are too many for me to keep track of, but I will add those that I have kept myself.
