Unusual cacatuoides problem

My male fish seems to have a problem with his mouth. These fish ave the ability to open their mouth extra far, by unfolding it somehow. Now the upperlip of the male is stuck in that position. It doesn't seems to upset him very much, but it looks awfully uncomfortable. anything i can do?

Hi David, if i were you, i would catch the fish out and gently press its jaw to try to restore its normal position... be careful not to hurt the fish...

sorry david i read this one at some point and didnt respond
my first thoughts were dislocation too
as blue has suggested see if you can gently relocate
sometimes requires opening wide and allowing to then close normally

i would use a moist cotton swab to manipulate

best of luck
in the long run if not resolved he may need less competion for feeding , so housed alone , otherwise he may waste from poor intake

Hi, thanks for the tips. In the end I didn't have to do anything, after some days the problem solved itself. I also think it was some sort of dislocation, but i figured I'd do nothing for some days, because he was behaving normal and didn't look uncomfortable.
