Hi All

Can't find anyone else who has had this problem on the forum, plenty of mouth stuck open but none stuck closed. Any idea what the cause might be?

My thoughts are fighting and broken jaw?

Have moved him to a smaller tank on his own at the moment.

Any help would be apreciated!

I'd say the fish is either old and/or having an infection in the mouth region. In any case, this is not treatable. I'm sorry.

I had something very similar with a Macmasteri pair. It was from a sudden change in pH. At least in my case. The male recovered the female died a week later. Only the female had the locked open mouth.
