Tubercules in Czech Fishes

Hi

Is there any true ,that Czech fishes all have tubercules ??

Just a rumor I heard??

I don't know about fish from there in particular, but angels can get and carry TB....they are cichlids....so any cichlid may get or carry it I would assume.

tropical fish refrences have suggested upto 35% incidence of tuberculosis within the hobby

so to suggest that one area is producing high levels wouldn't be too far off the mark

i have just lost a mae elizabethae that i believe was imported through from czech
i gross pm'd him and found no tubercules

i think tuberculosis is a very important thing to keep in mind no matter where you get the fish from. also remember this disease can be transmitted to humans. i think anyone who keeps fish should do a google search for fish tuberculosis and read the many articles on this subject. you should assume that new fish have this until you know different.
