about 3 days after laying eggs all had either fugussed or been eaten. the pair had returned to business as usual. after moving the pair to a new home i was cleaning the gravel and found 6 what look like partially hatched eggs that i assume had been rejected by the parents. i caught them with a medicine dropper and put them in a container floating in the tank. it's been about 36 hours and they seem to be fully hatched wrigglers and doing fine. this is a first for me and i'll be surprised if they live but i'll keep my fingers crossed.
