Just wondering who's doing what to lower their PH and establish consistency. Especially I would like to ask if anyone here has used Eheim Torf Pellets and what their experiences were ?

"Torf" is German for peat. Peat pellets are fine, just too expensive compared to garden spagnum peat. Depending on the hardness & pH of the original water, peat filtration can do wonders. With my naturally soft, neutral water I can drop the pH to ~5.0 and almost 0 hardness. Harder, more alkaline water won't drop so radically - or hardly any at all.
