Tankmates for Rams

I am thinking of adding a few pencil fishes to my 20g planted tank with a pair of Rams and a few tetras. The pencil fish will form part of the cleaning crew, together with some cherry shrimps.

What do you think?
Any other better options?

I'm a big fan of pencilfish and they will make great tankmates for your rams.

Can Cherry Shrimps be kept with Rams in a 20g tank ?

Hi Bezz,

Rams are not very good tankmates for small shrimps. The red cherrys would either hide all day or getting hunted by the rams in my experience.

I'd agree with Nimue. I used to have a pair of Rams and when I added 4 blue shrimp they would just hide all the time and then after about 2 weeks they were gone
