Hello fellow apisto lovers. I just had the surprise of my life. My 5 month old agassizis for a previous spawn are breeding in their grow out tank. Isn't it a bit too early for them to breed? They are currently 13 in a planted 15g (where they are breeding) and another 13 in a bare 10g with a coconut shell and java moss.

Obviously you are doing an excellent job with growing out your aggies. I guess like human beings, sexual maturity comes earlier if provided good food and living conditions.
