G'day all!

I have a 6x2x2 tank in my lounge that I'm wanting to fully plant out and house some apisto's and probably some other smaller tetra or so.
I'm wondering how many different types of apisto's could live together in a tank this size? Also what types you'd recommend?
A few years back i had some bitaeniata and i wouldn't mind having them again as one of the types.

What are the recommended dither fish for apistogramma?

Also my tap water has a high ph of 7.9 and a kh of 4
My tank has a 3ft sump tank, is there anything i could put in there to help lower the ph?

Cheers,
Darren.

This is the tank.
It currently has a 30-35 cm Murray Cod that I'm giving to a friend.
The substrate is play sand from bunnings but i don't thinks it'll do the job with the plants.
I'm doing this setup on a low light system (money reasons) and i'll add another 3ft T8 with the best tube i can find.

G'day mate.

Being that I'm in a rental here and don't have a rainwater tank to get softer water I decided the town water here was easier to adapt to African cichlids.

This thank now has 20 F1 Tropheus Kiriza.

If all goes to plan within the next year i will have my own place finally and i will set up the apitso tank.

Probably a good plan for now. But 20 Tropheus even in a tank this size is asking for mayhem once they mature. I hope you have someplace for the extra males.

Yeah. They're only 4-5cm at the moment so sexes are unknown.
Hopefully I've struck it lucky with my ratio but if not the extra males will have to be removed.
