Species id request ?

These fishes were sold as a. sp ladislao; they were originally in another aquarium and i moved them to a 29 with some n. marlyn dithers about 6 months ago. as far as I can tell they are full grown but have shown no interest in spawning. Looking through pictures on Tom's website i'm not even sure they are the same species or a. sp ladislao. I have some additional females in another aquarium and i moved one but she promptly kill it so if i move another i need to move her out but before i take action i wanted to double check if these are the same species and actually a. sp ladislao....

Are these the same fish as in this thread? If so, I can't say anything else than I already did there. If it's other fish: the male seems to have a patterned caudal fin, so it can be any of the Ladislao-like species with the exception of A. sp. Amaya. The female doesn't show enough black markings to be able to say something about it's ID.

No; these were sent a couple of months later. I wasn't sure if he mixed up wolli and ladislao (he was selling both along with a few other species) and was a bit concern if they were the same species. I can't make her darken her markings - i tried a mirror and she flared at it but otherwise stayed the same. She is kind of strange the other females i have all have much better markings (they are in a 40b) but are also smaller - they came in another shipment. There was a 2nd female that was shipped with her (1m 2f); and she is even larger but also has no real visible markings - she is in a 65 and i can't get her out - she darts into hiding whenever i walk up to the aquarium (she is with some Ivanacara Bimaculata; they leave her alone but she saw me catch the male and other female)....

To be honest this and the other female look nothing like either the ladisalo or wolli i have; the male looks very much like tom's picture of wolli male which is why i asked.

I am curious how you distinguish the male from the a. wolli (what markings on him make it stand out as a different species). I guess the black spot on the tail has a different shape and the pattern on the tail is a little different.

I guess i'll try moving this female into the 40b and grab another female or maybe i should be more patient - kind of worry she will kill the other females i have in the 40b.

I was also wrong when i moved them to the 29; it was back in mid sept so they have been in there for about 7 months.
