Update on Philip Pain in Hospital in Mexico

Just to let you know that 21 year old Philip has made a slight improvement. His organs were crused in the seven storey fall, but now his lungs and heart are functioning and doctors say they may not have to amputate his leg since recieving enough blood to operate. When he received the 12 pints of this rare 0 neg. blood this kick started his kidneys and they improved enough to out him on dialysis yesterday. He has no brain injury as far as they can tell. However he is in an induced coma. They will look at his broken back and pelvis when he is strong enough.

Please spread the word in Mexico if you can for anyone with 0 neg blood to call the Sharp Hospital in Mazatlan and say they want to donate to Philip Pain.

Thanks for the update. I am glad to hear Philip is improving. Did you post your search on www.cichlidae.info ? THere are severl people in Mexico who participate in that forum. THe site is operated from MExico.

Philip's story has been broadcast by the BBC world wide network, radio, national and local newspapers. He is a good hardworking lad and its terrible to see his family suffer so much. O neg is a rare blood group in the Western hemisphere and even more so in Mexico.
