I have one tank with a pernicious growth of slimy dark green algae. Algae killer chemicals do not effect it. This stuff coats everything in the tank, plants, rocks, gravel and glass. When siphoning it detaches completely from everything. On some spots, the algae develops bubbles under the surface.
Any suggestions as to what species this is and what do I do short of bleaching the entire tank and throwing out some expensive plants?
