Sexing my A. Cacatouides

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone is able to confirm the sex of one of my A. Cacatouides, it was sold to me as a female but as it is growing it is starting to show some male traits like extended caudal and ventral fins, I am keeping it in a tank with a definite male to see if it is a female and it is definitely smaller and does show some signs of female behavior towards the male - I realize this could also be because it is the less dominant one. It also does not have any black markings or patterns on any of it's fins which is why I am confused lol.

It's an "Orange Flash", black chequering is the dominant gene ("allele"), so it just means that he doesn't have any genes for chequering, so the fins are plain.

That's weird, his siblings all have the markings of the typical "super red" cockatoo

Chequering is the dominant gene, so if the fish are heterozygous for chequering, the caudal fin will be chequered. I think it is like eye colour in humans, you can only have recessive blue eyes if you have no genes for eye pigment.
