Sex confirmation ?

I am hopeful despite a crappy picture someone can identify the sex of this fish:

Wild guess without knowing what species it is… -but i would say female. Only based on the broader black stripe on the ventral fin.

The photos show fish that are probably in the orteagai-subcomplex. What were they sold as? They all appear to be females to me.

They were sold as ortegai sp purple or something like that - i can check jeff's web site for the exact name.

My concern is I have 4 females and not 3 females and male; though from the dorsal fins one of them did very much look like a male. Unfortunately it is difficult to get all 4 to pose for me. The larger one is probably close to 2 inches with the smaller ones 1.5 to 1.75 inch. They are not acting the way i expect as frequenlty i see 3 of them together with the 4th on the other end of the tank in the leaves.

These three pics look male to me with the colors on the fins. A slimmer body. The females are rounder in the middle.

Here is another picture of the fish I think is a male. I'm a bit concern about the species also since these guys are showing themselves very passive. If this is a male i might have two males and 2 females. Basically 3 of the fishes pile up on one side and the fourth (2nd male?) is on the other side but i see relatively little viciousness between the 4 fishes. Unless I missed the signs i think there was some courting between one of the male and female (well one i think is a male and one i think is a female); all of this is very different than the level of aggression i was expecting which makes me question the species.
