Rams spawned - Already!!!

Last night after rearranging the tank decor and doing a partial water change, I took a look inside my tank after the dust had settled and saw two proud Ram parents gaurding eggs!

This just one week to the day after arriving in the mail from Neil! The other pair of rams in there, which have taken the left side of the tank as their territory, look like they might be planning to spawn, too. So cool.

I'll keep ya all posted.

BTW - my neons and lemon tetras all spawned last week - I saw eggs - but no babies. Oh well. Caviar for the Rams I guess.

Congrats Eva,
That tank of yours is just a little den of ill-repute!!! Isn't it? I can't believe that you have two species of tetras spawning away in there 8O . Those eggs won't just be a fancy desert for the dwarfs, they will be their staple diet. Just like back at home in South America.
Get ready for more fun with the raising of a bunch of ram fry. You're on your way. Neil

Now the second pair of rams have spawned! Geez they must know it's springtime in there.

The first batch of eggs, however, has dissappeared. Eaten, relocated, I dunno.
