Hi all,
I have managed to hatch 50-60 blue ram fry. They have been free swimming for a couple of days and I'm feeding infusioria and microworms. I'll start the bbs after the weekend when they will be 1 week old. They are in a 2g tank to keep a higher concentration of food, after 2-3 weeks they will go in a 10g or 20g tank for grow out. (If anyone has suggestions to improve upon my plans, feel free to mention them!) Here is my question.
I hatched these guys in RO with Hydrogen Peroxide. As I am doing water changes, I am still using RO. I do add Kent's RO Right to my mixture so the necessary electrolytes etc are in the water. My question is, is this ok in terms of the fishes development? Should I add any tap water anytime soon? (My tap is VERY hard, with 7.8 pH). I figured I wouldn't until they were good and big/strong. Then add little amounts in the water to start acclimating them to the LFS's water. Is this a good plan?
Thanks for all your help,
Cathy
