[Question] Is this a female of Apistogrmma panduro?

Hello..
Last Week, a new pair of Apistogramma panduro came to my tank from trofical fish shop.
But, I'm not sure this is a female of Api. panduro, because when I search online the Panduro female looks more yellow and quite different from the male.
Now, the male in my tank is aggressive to the female.

What do you think about the sex of this image of Panduro?
I wonder there are some tip to relieve male's aggression.

Tough to tell from the first two pictures but from the 3rd I'm guessing it's a male

Most likely a female. The wide/bold black margins on the ventral fins (paired bottom fins) are usually a pretty good indicator of sex. Females have a lot of black on those fins and males have very little.

Is it panduro. Not got my books at hand. But it doesnt look right. My females dont show the blotch on the tail. Will check later.

Doesn't look like nijsseni to me; most likely A. panduro & female.

I think it is a female nijsseni. Picture of the male would help. Males are easier to tell apart.

I read that the blotches on panduro are very variable. May explain why it doesnt look like mine.

In addition to what merlin writes, A. nijsseni females don't show a cheek stripe. They normally show a black blotch on the gill cover.
