I'm not sure, but I think they may be the inflorescences of the Echinodorus plants, they form tufts of leaves (where the flowers would be) if they remain submerged.

Hah! Now that i see the video again, i think you are right. There is even one on the front of the two Echinodorus.

Bacopa it was. But not so shure anymore.
I have bacopa and it is either some weird species or more likely something totally different. bacopa isn't really leafy and this plant is - i've seen it before but i can't recall where or if i ever knew the name.

It looks a lot like my echinodorus parviflorus when it spreads (plantets) but i would expect to see roots on some of them and i don't so not sure.


Btw nice video showing the difference between rio negro and rio orinoco.

I agree they are baby Echinodorus plants, I have had several like that recently in one of my tanks, at first I thought they were going to produce flowers, but maybe as they are submerged they produced these plantlets instead. They do eventually produce small roots but not for quite a while.

Yep, my thought basically, and yes Bacopa was definitely wrong.
