Pelv. sp. aff. pulcher comes in from time to time from Nigeria. Mine were sold as "wild Kribs" at my LFR, and the owner of the store, thinking they were Pelv. pulcher, didn't realize that he had two species in the same tank. Tank raised fish can be found in the hobby.
A person with the following email address [email protected]
has these fish listed as available. The URL is http://www.internet-fish.com.
However, this person has never responded to any of my inquires. If you contact him and he responds please let me know.
A LFS here in Atlanta is selling them as "Wild Red Kribs" for $19.99/pair. I picked up a pair and they have acclimated to their new environment. Very beautiful fish!
I was lucky enough to find some wild caught P sub af pulcher at my LFS back in November. and they have now presented me with 2 spawnings to date. The first spawn is now about 1 inch in length and I'm ready to sell them. If anyone is interested, please e-mail me privately.
You would think so, but I had a pair spawing regularly for over a year, and I raised a lot of fry. I was practically giving them away on Aquabid. That was before Randall introduced me to this forum though. I problably sold 50 of them for $1 each, and traded that many in to the LFS for about the same amount.
