Pelvicachromis rubrolabiatus, peat filtration?

Hi all.
I have a pair of Pelvicachromis rubrolabiatus. My tapwater is neutral, kh around 1, Gh 4-5.
I have read that these fish needs soft acidic waters, but also that it comes from clearwater rivers. Should I try to lower the ph-value? If so, could I use peat filtration or does clearwater species require other methods?

Your water is fine. No need to reduce the values lower than what they are.

You certainly are right. The female (that are not rubrolabiatus but signatus) are now guiding a swarm of 50-60 fry around the tank. The only drawback is that she killed the male...
