Pelvicachromis roloffi

These fish came through a friend of mine. They are wild and are stunning fish, i feel very lucky to have them. Luckily i was successful in the breeding almost straight away, they have raised this brood up with no problems at all..Im enjoying having them around!

Awesome. I really like P. roloffi, but find them to be rather shy. The pairs I have had have all been infrequent spawners, but excellent parents when they do spawn.

Cheers Ted..I was talking to a friend of yours a few weeks ago, Rusty Wessel came over to the UK to give a talk, i had a good chat with him during the auction..Nice fella.

Ive had Roloffi before but managed to kill the male before they spawned! im glad to finally breed them and cross them off my list, i now only have three species of Pelvicachromis left to spawn..P.humilis, P.signatus and P.rubrolabiatus, ive kept all three and lost them to aggression each and every time, i currently have a trio of large adult P.humilis in a 4x2x2 and they are getting along ok with no real aggression, ill be a happy guy if they spawn for me.

They are great, i love the pastle shades in these fish, they are a great addition to my fishroom.
