Paranannochromis caudifasciatus

Hi ,

Yesterday , i get my second african fluviatil cichlid (after P. pucher).

the name is :
Paranannochromis caudifasciatus or caudofasciatus

this fish come from cameroon and seems they find them at 18c degrees.

Anybody have information or experience with this fish.

there not a lot of info on internet.

P. caudifasciatus

Dear Bissot,

Parananochromis caudifasciatus is not often found in the US hobby. Recently, however, some wild specimens have been imported into the US.

The fish is endemic to south of the Nyong River in southwest Cameroon and should be housed in larger planted aquaria with soft acidic water. Males grow to about 11 cm and females are quite smaller. For husbandry, 18 C sounds a little cold to me; they might do better at 22-23 C.
