P. taeniatus temperatures

Was debating about moving a subdominant pair outside into a small tub/pond this year. Does anyone know the extremes of temperatures they can take?

They come from water in the low 70s. However, I have spawned and raised them in temperature as high as 86 to 88F to manipulate the sex ratio.

Nice work and thanks for sharing! Summarizing your experiments with Pelv taeniatus at pH 6.5-7.0 and cond around 150 uS:

73 F ==> 25% male, 75% female
79 F ==> 50% male, 50% female
85 F ==> 75% male, 25% female

As far as you know, does the general pattern of warmer ==> male, cooler ==> female hold up for other cichlid genera with enviro-induced sex, like Apistos, Taeniacara, Nanochromis, ... ? And how about S.Amer and African killifish? Anabantoids? Has anybody compiled a list of articles on enviro-induced sex determination in fish?
