My apistogramma macmasteri pair spawned (again) this time i knew what to do and the fry are almost all alive! I lost a few but i guess thats how things go sometimes.
The mother is great and is watching her fry carefully.
The fry are getting a variety of food-
Now im simply wondering. What is the next step? The mother will have to be removed eventually but when do i know its the time ? (She will just go back to the main tank)
The female started exploring a cave but she ls still very interested in her current fry and they still follow her around.

It's basically up to you if it's only the female and her fry. I have a female A. wolli still with 8 month old offspring that are sexing out, and a female A. sp. (cf. luelingi) Cristal with 3 month old juveniles. As long as she is not driving them away, then they can stay together until someone wants to start breeding.

Thank you!
Its only the female and fry since she would not let the male anywhere near her fry. She charged him.

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
