I got this fish as a female viejita. I now know she probably isn't but what is she? the other two that were purchased with her are cacatuoides. The male attacks her every chance he gets.

Hard to say from these photos; small pics, out of focus, and no visible dark markings. The markings visible are the black spot syndrome seen on many wild caught apistos from Peru. Since is was with cacatuoides, it might be an A. cacatuoides.

Thank you so much I am new to Apistogramma and have never herd of black spot syndrome. It didnt look like the other female I have and the male attacks her every chance he gets. Thanks again for your help.
