Nijsseni male problem

My male is not acting normal . he is hovering just above the substate. he does not move around much at all. Its caudal is clamped a bit and he repeatedly opens and closes his mouth like he is coughing or trying to spit something out about every 3 or 4 seconds. other than that he looks fine not scared or hiding and is eating. any ideas?

Classic signs of internal parasites. I just had a kribensis die due to the same symptoms before my IP med could get here.

If he is gulping already youll need to get some meds pretty soon to save him. Watch him for a while and try to check out his poop. If it is clear the problem is most definately internal parasites. I would recommend you get your hands on some Seachem Metronidazole, which is probably the best IP med out their to my knowledge. Read up on them here :
