Me being the mistrusting skeptic again...anyone familiar with any of the following 'New' apistos:

diamante, celeste, Inca CF 'C', Cameta, Rondonia, assurimin, iriri, itaituba, Boa Vista, and mirari.

The first red flag that raised for me was this person telling me he has his own collecting station in Peru but the first two fish he mentioned were Brazilian, Aggie Alenquer and Santarem. The second red flag was the mention of being the only person exporting these new fish out of Peru. Knowing of some of the people collecting in Peru, Julio being one of them, I find that hard to believe.

Just me being untrusting again. Over the last couple years I've noticed a lot of new people doing 'importing' of new and special species, make a few bucks selling common fish under uncommon names, and fade away.

Sorry for the dark cloud

You are right on the money here Ken this has happened to me too--at least the fish I got were nice and healthy, if not new to the hobby.

Ken,
There are so many new names out there and most turn out to be trade names for fish that are already around. Usually it is just a new name to sell an old fish, but to be on the cutting edge of all the new species that are coming out is tough, so I am not sure if there is anything that might be truely interesting here.

These are all new ones to me. Inca CF 'C' may be the high-finned Panduro.
If you find out anything more about them, let us know.
