Well they finally arrived. Last saturday evening, I got myself a trio (mff) of Inca50, courtesy of Peter Lovett.
And despite my best efforts, they seem to be thriving. (I've had something in the tank go anaerobic, leading to a very nasty smell, and a rather poorly looking fish, and then last night I forgot to plug the heater and filter in after maintenance.
).
They've been a bit shy, no doubt due to the stress of a new home, and my trying to kill them, but they have been out and about this afternoon, and I am already thinking about fetching a 15 gallon I have out of the shed, and setting it up in my office for some more.
They are really great to watch, and I am absolutely hooked. The way they will change their markings between ends of the tank, and the little territorial chases going on.
I have a 300 litre tank coming available soon, and I am going to have to try really hard to persuade the girlfriend we need to keep it for more apistos
And thanks to everyone who has posted here. I probably wouldn't of done this if it hadn't been for all the info available on here.
Cheers.
